Isis Collective Book Circle
|
The Isis Collective Book Circle represents black women from across the diaspora who are interested in learning about and relating to women of color worldwide. By providing a forum for discussion through our readings, we hope to promote an interest in women's issues through understanding individual stories in the context of culture, politics, societal era, and even relationships, whether expressed in fiction or non-fiction. Through the vehicle of prose, our effort, as co-sisters, is simply to educate ourselves, identify with, acknowledge and project the voices of many sects of women that are not always heard in the forefront of the collective feminist platform.
